"this started as a sequel to tupperware beats vol. 1, a collection of beats/ideas i made while saving samples to use for hectic zeniths. but as I kept working on it, a lot of the tracks started getting a lot more expansive, some feeling like full songs, and i considered it being a proper amplifya album titled layercakes. in the end, i think its somewhere between a "beat tape" and full blown instrumental album, but definitely much closer to the latter."

Waiting is peak Tonedeff. Unique production with electronic influences. Beautiful sung parts and dense rhyme schemes. Most of all, it has the brutally honest self-reflection that makes me connect with Tone like no other artist. Listening to the Stoops2Stages snippet going into Waiting is incredibly personal.
